Security Deposit Policy

Thank you for choosing to stay at our holiday accommodation. We take great pride in maintaining a high standard for all guests while also protecting the property and its contents. The security deposit helps ensure that the home is respected and left in good condition for future visitors.

Please read the policy below carefully.

Security Deposit Payment

  • A security deposit is required 7 days prior to arrival.

  • Payment must be made via bank transfer or our secure online payment provider.

  • Your booking is not fully secured until the deposit has been received.

During & After Your Stay

  • Guests are expected to adhere to the agreed House Rules and Terms & Conditions.

  • Following departure, the property will be inspected.

  • Any potential issues must be reviewed promptly to ensure fairness to both parties.

Owner Review & Claims

  • Any damage, loss, or breach of house rules will be documented.

  • Photographic evidence and cost estimates will be obtained where applicable.

  • Guests will be notified of any proposed deductions within 2 working days of checkout.

If a claim is necessary, we aim to provide supporting evidence and a clear breakdown of costs within 7 days of departure.

Standard Deductions (Where Applicable)

The following charges may apply in the event of a breach or damage (this list is not exhaustive):

  • Unauthorised extra guests (day or overnight): £100 per guest

  • Breach of House Rules: £250

  • Late checkout: £100 fee plus an hourly rate for every hour (or part thereof) beyond the agreed checkout time

  • Additional cleaning required: £50 call-out fee plus hourly cleaning rate

  • Tampering with monitoring equipment: £50

  • Repeated noise level breaches: £100 per occurrence

Additional costs for damage, repairs, replacement, or specialist cleaning may also be deducted where necessary.

Refund of Security Deposit

  • If no issues are identified, the security deposit will be processed on the Wednesday following departure.

  • Refunds typically reach your account within 4 working days, although banks may require an additional 5–7 working days to complete the transaction.

  • Where a claim is under review, the deposit (or remaining balance) will be returned once the matter has been resolved.
